Another treat in Trespass is an essay by U.S. civil right lawyer and activist J. Tony Serra, who defended the Black Panthers among others. He talks about the misconceptions of graffiti in U.S. law and postulates from his experience that community is necessary — “With visible support, prosecution is less likely because the artist’s ultimate ideology becomes more prevalent in the community.”
